Supplies 4 Success

24 Jul Supplies 4 Success

The Supplies 4 Success Program helps to ensure that students from low-income families in Airdrie and North Rocky View have what they require to succeed in school. In partnership with Staples and supported by our sponsors Davis Chevrolet and Airdrie Dodge, our goal is to ensure that ALL students in our community start the school year with a backpack full of necessary school supplies.

We know that this has been a challenging year for everyone in our community and we recognize that the need for this program for the 2020-21 school year will likely exceed the previous years. Therefore, the goal of this year’s program is to raise $11,000 – which will enable up to 350 local kids to start the school year off right! We are very excited to announce that both Davis Chevrolet and Airdrie Dodge will be donating $10/car sold in the month of August towards this program.

In order to make the program a success, we are asking for the community’s help to raise funds and collect supplies. Here is how you can help:

o          Monetary donations are being accepted at Staples in Airdrie (505 Main St.).

o          Donations of NEW backpacks for students in Kindergarten to grade 12 can be dropped off at any of the following locations and are being accepted until Friday,  August 14:

-Airdrie Dodge (139 East Lake Crescent N.E.)

-Community Links (211 – 125 Main St. N.W.)

-Davis Chevrolet (149 East Lake Crescent N.E.)

Distribution of backpacks and school supplies for Kindergarten to Grade 12 students for the 2020-2021 school year will take place on Thursday August 20th, 2020 and Friday August 21st, 2020 at Community Links offices. Families will need to provide proof of residency and identification for each child receiving a backpack. Community Links is also partnering with Boys & Girls Club of Airdrie for the second year in a row and will distribute backpacks on Saturday August 22nd, 2020 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at their location (1003 Allen St N.E.).
